IRI(H) Instrument Rating Instructor
The aim of the IRI(H) training course is to train the applicant to provide training to holders of pilot licenses for an issue of IR qualification. After completing the training course, the applicant must be able to train the applicant to the level prescribed for the IR qualification, including pre-flight briefing, post-flight debriefing and theoretical training.
The IRI (H) course is for pilots, who are not having an FI (H) rating and want to become an Instrument Rating Instructor.
Requirements for the IRI(H) course:
- Valid Teaching and Learning 25 hours.
- 10 hours flight training with approved instructor is required as a minimum.
- Minimum 800 IFR flight hours as pilot on helicopter.
- Finally, you will take a AofC test to demonstrate to a TBST/CAA approved examiner that you possess the knowledge and flying ability to teach the next generation of pilots with your new flight instructor rating.

FIIR(H) Instrument Rating Instructor
The FIIR (H) education is for pilots, who are holding an FI (H) rating and want to become an Instrument Rating Instructor.
Requirements for the FIIR(H) course:
- Valid FI(H) Rating and valid medical.
- 5 hours IFR flight training with approved instructor is required as a minimum.
- Minimum 200 IFR flight hours as pilot - 50 of these hours can be on approved FNPT II
- Finally, you will take a AofC test to demonstrate to a TBST/CAA approved examiner that you possess the knowledge and flying ability to teach the next generation of pilots with your new flight instructor rating.
